Cross-references don't work in some cases #33
Comments
Looks like this happens when the cross reference is created using fields. |
Hello! Just curious if this feature is being worked on. No problem if its not, I'd just like to know if I should be building a work around. Thanks, |
Not right now, but I'll take a look when I get a chance. Although I haven't investigated properly, this will hopefully be similar to how fields representing hyperlinks work, so not particularly difficult to handle. |
Hi There, Just wondered if there was maybe an update on this please? Or perhaps a way we can intercept the parsing so we could add logic to handle these somehow? thanks! |
Nope, no update I'm afraid. |
This has become a bit of a show-stopper for us it seems, we have tons of Word docs with cross-references. Is there any way please we can have a way in the code of identifying these and implementing the link ourselves? |
I suspect adding hooks into the code to allow custom handling of fields would be more work than handling cross reference fields properly. |
For some documents, cross-references seem to work just fine, but other they don't come through.
Attached is a new word document where I created a cross reference. The generated HTML doesn't convert these to a link.

thanks!
