The epub from Amazon is all messed up

I got the epub file from Amazon (I wanted to pay something back to the author) and when reading it on either my phone or an ereader I have a very annoying issue with paragraphs being interwoven with code, full blocks of text coming ahead of where they should be in the file and so on.

Can you confirm whether the file available on Amazon works fine?

I am using Onyx Boox (Android 11) with Kindle and Sony Xperia 1 III with Kindle to read the epub with the same result. See images for an example of the same error in different readers. If this happened once, it would not be an issue, but it happens all the time and makes the book hard to read.
