The Government of India has recently agreed a new eGov standard for location codes across all government data bases. These are based on the 2011 Census of India. These are the MDDs codes mentioned on slide 7, and highlighted in red by Aricent as not required.
It seems that the MCTS team did not inform GF/Aricent of these new codes. They said that we don't have to use them, but we should create fields for them in the Motech DB because in the future, we won't be able to share data with any GoI systems without these codes.
However - we can delete the code CID, highlighted in red by Aricent on slide 7. This is not necessary.
But they suggested that we should keep code Is_Tribal_N, highlighted in red by Aricent, because it indicates which locations are tribal and an analysis of the usage data based on tribal areas may be requested in the future.
