Some suggestions for a better user experience.

Use bootstrap navbar on the top of the page to collect the search tool (now invisible) and link to home to make it easy to go back to the index.
Another option can be to use materialize -> https://materializecss.com/

Data tables can be updated with his new version that offers also ordering of the entries.
-> Also data table has a bootstrap-like styling that can be applied.
