I noticed that in the tokenizer module the number 0 is being used as the pad token ID. Perhaps I'm too used to using HuggingFace Transformers, but shouldn't there be a separate token ID for pad tokens? If you decode the example in the Google Colab, for example, "Hello world" has many 0's at the end, yet these are mapped to '!' when decoded.
