I'm just a passing-by but I experience this crash too on all apps. It is the update of the system app HyperOs Launcher (version 5.39) that causes the crash. I downgrade the app and everything is fine (on every app that experienced the crash).

I'm no longer experiencing in v0.17.0

I retract my statement. Mine crashed just now.

Didn't experience this crash on mihon.

Same issue, using HyperOS Launcher 5.39.31.10308.

I'm using Poco F5 (xiaomi's sub brand) and it doesn't seem to crash for me. Using mihon 0.17.1, hyperos 1.0.11.0, Poco launcher 4.39.14.7586

Is the crash sometimes or always?

Edit: tried back gesture and back button, still doesn't crash.

It rarely happens after the 0.17 update, but it's still there. I don't know how to reproduce it this time.

Always. For me, it's crash when using HyperOS 1 but installed HyperOS 2's Launcher instead.

Only crash on mihon? Or other apps also? Try to uninstall all updates for hyperos launcher?

One user reported success with downgrading the HyperOS Launcher app from the Chinese back down to the global version. They had previously moved from global to Chinese which is when they started to experience this issue.
This is somewhat consistent with other reports of this crash online.

It still crashes. When updating app sources. Or when reading. Has been frequent.

I assume you have tried the workaround I mentioned?

Can you look at this for me. I am not tech savvy, so to do the work around for Android I need guidance then I'll be pro at it
Thanks for understanding.

That is an unrelated crash, please do not pollute issues with unrelated logs or comments, thank you.

Oh ok, so I apologize for sending that, I thought it was going to help. I won't do that again. On another note, I would like for a breakdown of how I need to revert back or whatever I need to do so it run smoothly.

@turtCa Read the title. This issue request is only about Xiaomi devices, and their operating systems (MIUI & HyperOS)/system applications causing an issue, you have a Samsung.

In general, come to the Mihon Discord support channel instead with your crash log for troubleshooting, like it says in the crash screen.
