Is there any option to completely turn execution of PE executable off?

I have a wsl.conf with

[interop]
enabled=false
appendWindowsPath = false

When executing PEs in wsl with this config, it first hangs a couple of seconds and then generates the error
ERROR: UtilAcceptVsock:250: accept4 failed 110

Is there any chance to get a behavior executing a PE similar to a native linux?
