• "Like using hue only as the stroke colour, and make the stroke width inversely proportional to its lightness."
• Depending on whether or not you want to posterise, you could also use something like smooth curveto but colour the path based on the average underlying colour. You'd get lots of different coloured funky lines, but I think that might look cool.
