Please confirm these before moving forward.

  • I have tried deleting a folder named UniGetUI under %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\UniGetUI.
  • I have tried reinstalling UniGetUI.
  • I have tested that this issue has not been fixed in the latest (beta or stable) release.

Describe your crash

Only when updating/installing certain WinGet packages (here Anthropic.Claude), UniGetUI will hang indefinitely (even after the install is done) if we click on the task queue item of Claude.

What happens ?
Getting an update for Claude is surprisingly different from most WinGet packages. There's no progress bar, just the size downloaded. If we click on it while this is shown UniGetUI will hang. If we click on the task queue item before it shows, we just get this :

and the size downloaded isn't even shown.
The only solution then is to force stop UniGetUI since even after Claude being installed it stays stuck.
