OK, I've found that it's a text file it's evidently trying to open.
That's what I'm finding on my desktop system, which is simply update (no extension) found in one of my paths (C:\bin32, my CLI 32 bit utilities...) So, I deleted that. And since I had already copied that particular directory over to the laptop, it was finding it and trying to open it on the laptop as well. Bug? ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Deleting the update (no extension) file fixed the problem. On both systems. And yes, the file has been there since 2009, so it's a recent update (last six months I'd say) that started showing this. Closing this out since I've figured it out. |

I've been running wingetui for awhile now. On my main desktop, when it starts, it has started wanting me to open something with Firefox, Notepad, or various other programs. It's just an "Open with" dialog box. I have reinstalled my laptop, and started wingetui from scratch. In fact, it did the dialog multiple times. I . I don't have a clue as to what is going on, or why it's asking me to open a file. Win 11 on desktop, Win 10 on laptop. Is this a bug somehow, or am I doing something wrong?
