Read/Unread state for email and show unread count in title #78
Comments
Thanks @espen This is sort of covered by mailhog/MailHog-UI#7, which admittedly has been open for a very long time... I've tended to avoid this because I think it'll get complicated quickly (and probably introduce a pile of bugs), but I'll have another look at it! |
+1 |
Just switched test server to use Mailhog, and two main things that are missing if to compare to mailtrap or mailcatcher: read/undead messages and view message with messages list on the same screen. And this is kind of deal breaker for me, having to go back to open new message and not even knowing what did you open recently (no read status) makes it uncomfortable to use. Probably will be switching to back mailcatcher. |
I switched recently to mailhog and the read/unread state is a big missing feature for me. I'm expecting to see unread messages at a glance. The counter next to "Inbox" should be the number of unread messages and not the total number of messages. The subject of read messages should not be in bold in the message list. |
Is this still a feature to be considered, I recently started using MailHog as I did not want to pay for MailTrap's advanced features and MailHog has been great but the only missing feature has been the read/unread UI state. |
Awesome project with one big missing feature: any decent inbox UI should be able to handle read state |
Mark email as read when clicking on the email.
Update title when receiving new email or email is set as read. Example: MailHog (2)
I find this useful as I often do some testing in one tab and would be nice to just see the MailHog tab title update with a new count instead of going to that tab and checking if the email was received.
