Looking for a fork #399
Comments
I think its easier to find a alternative instead of searching a maintaner. Tbh I would like to maintain it, but idk |
nah will create a fork and fix these |
FYI I find jim really useful when testing what the system should do when the connection isn't 100% good to the smtp server. So don't remove it - maybe make it less obvious instead ;) |
Hi @mtaylor567 , I would be very interested if you could share a build with those pull requests. Thanks, |
I can make it optional, it's just I don't want non-techie users randomly enabling jim |
found another bug I will need to fix. When searching the results, they don't open when clicked |
Will you share a release / binary ? |
go to insights / forks you can see all te forks in there |
Have a look at this fork (best choice, imho): https://github.com/kernle32dll/MailHog |
I don't see any releases on either of those forks. @mtaylor567 any chance you'll do so soon? |
would be nice to also add the ability to view mail via imap client. |
I started work on a fork to fix some alloying bugs but soon discovered that MailHog has so many flaws, and fixing those became such a major overhaul that I decided to build something completely fresh (Mailpit). It does not have all the features of MailHog, so may or may not suit your requirements, but it is far less buggy and so much faster. I still have work to do, but it is working pretty nicely so far. |
@axllent That looks promising, thanks for your efforts. I'll test it out in the coming days/weeks. |
Related #442 |
Seems like this project is dead so I was looking for a fork with these things (or maybe they exist and I missed it)
sort email in date order (think this an issue with using maildir)
clear out maildir periodically
make attachments more visible
idealy would like to remove jim
Is there a more advanced version out there or should i do them myself?
Thanks
