For troubleshooting pupose, it would be great to have the possibility to monitor the size of bulk requests sent to ES.

I see few possibilities:

  • In DEBUG / TRACE logs
  • Logstash monitoring
  • Pipeline viewer

At the moment, logging request_lengthwith a reverse proxy or use tcpdump to capture requests headers is the only way I've found so far.
