What happened?

If I position the desktlet in a certain spot of the screen, say bottm left, then when I connect to an external display (with different resolution than my laptop) the desklet is completely misaligned to where I initially set it. Also if I set a desktlet to be on bottom left, when I'm on external monitor, then when I jump back to my laptop display the desklet is completely invisible.
