I think we should add a warning to functions in the SDL2 documentation that will not be functional on Wayland, two that I am aware of:

It's quite hard now to get a piece of Linux software to work under both Wayland and X, I think if we are explicit about what does and does-not work on Wayland this would alleviate these issues for developers considerably.
