sqlx prepare: No queries found

Whenever I run the cargo sqlx prepare command, I get the warning No queries found and nothing gets generated. I tried running cargo clean before prepare but nothing changed. I also tried using cargo sqlx prepare -- --lib and cargo sqlx prepare -- --bin runner, but nothing changed either.

I'm using sqlx v0.6 with rocket v0.5-rc3, in case that makes a difference.

The problem was caused by using v0.71 of sqlx-cli. After downgrading to sqlx-cli v0.6 everything worked.
