It looks like @lafeber doesn't maintain this project any more (no update in 5 years)

@igralkin @torydebra in the mewntime you can bypass the problem by using directly

Thanks for the answer, this links works, but when I put it on my page it gives me the CORB problems:

Cross-Origin Read Blocking (CORB) blocked cross-origin response https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lafeber/world-flags-sprite/master/stylesheets/flags32-both.css with MIME type text/plain. See https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5629709824032768 for more details.

You may just copy the CSS file to your site and forget about the issue.

@torydebra @igralkin Copying the css to your site is indeed the way to go; this should be changed in the Readme.

I'm not actively maintaining this project, but if you open a PR for this I'll merge it!

I posted a PR #64 but I feel sad I removed the Tell everyone who uses a lot of country flags to use this link, so it will be in everyone's cache! part.
@lafeber I think this is a pity you don't make it available any more. You may want to look for another active maintainer to pass it over.

gubrus50 added a commit to gubrus50/BakeToom that referenced this issue Jun 3, 2023
world-flags-sprite URI for external stylesheet is unsupported at the moment.

Hence why I decided to include necessary resources in the static directory ("flags16-both.css" & "flags16.png") to restore the flag-icon feature.

Here is an open issue at world-flags-sprite project:
