Gen 1 Save File

I Imported my gen 1 sav file but after i was done changing some things i tryed to export the save file but it turns out into a file how do i fix this?

Once you are done editing your save file, you export it. After exporting the save file, load it back to your cartridge.

You need to be more specific on what issue you are having. Save Files are always files.
