After updating ts-jest from v26.5.6 to 27.0.3 all of our jest test started failing with the following error:

Any idea why this is happening? it was working fine before on version v26.5.6, the current value for testEnvironment is set to 'node'

Jest 27 default testEnvironment is node, you need to switch manually to jsdom

Jest 26 uses jsdom as default test environment, but that was changed in Jest 27.

If you have tests which are node only, you should run them with test environment node.

After setting testEnvironment: to 'jsdom' in our jest.config.js file we're still currently seeing the same erros in our test suites

Maybe clear jest cache?

that error is not related to ts-jest, it is error from Jest
