I have installed Piers using gentoo as well as Simple IPTV 22.2.2. I have set the refresh rate on the guide to 1 minute for testing. If I watch a TV show then on the next refresh I lose the EPG guide data as well as the channels. I am not sure what cause this to happen as something happened which caused a corrupt file. I can change the m3u file and the xml file and this doesn't fix the problem is why I think some file got corrupted. I thought is was the EPG.db file or the TV.db file in the Databases directory but I deleted those and it doesn't fix the issue. I have to delete the .kodi file and start over.

2024-10-15 15:53:09.177 T:1386 error : Process: An error occurred while trying to execute the last PVR update job, trying to recover

Reads like the addon threw an exception, most probably while updating the EPG data. Needs to be verified, but could be a start for debugging, @phunkyfish

@goldengate2121 please enable component debugging for PVR and EPG in Kodi settings and provide a new log so we see more details.

I believe enabling timeshift is causing the issue but you can't just disable timeshift and it starts working as you have to delete the .kodi directory and start over.
