Pythia has two entries for alphaStrong:
ParticleData:alphaSmZ
SigmaProcess:alphaSvalue
since alphaS enters only at NLO and in the shower, is it correct/sufficient to set only alphaSmZ?
If not revisit the dictionary scheme in Pythia,py .....
