I think it's possible - but it's probably something to discuss with Raspberry Pi - Can you move this disucssion to https://github.com/raspberrypi/libcamera or the raspberry pi forums please? |

Hi,
I'm working on a camera project, and I would like to know if there is a way to control the Awb/Ae for a specific zone on my sensor.
I'm using a PiCamera HQ, with IMX 477 sensor. I know there is not Af for this component, but I have an external lens, for zoom and focus.
I can control wich part of the image will be sharp by controling the lens.
In the same way that I can define an area for the focus, I would like to have a control on the area in wich I want to have the Awb and Ae.
I know these algorithms are using regions and weights, and I can modify them on IMX477.json, but when I'm focusing on an area of my image, it could be too dark or too bright.
Is there a way to do this ? Or are Awb and Ae not able to work like I want ?
Thanks for your reply,
Valentin
