Error: stat /Users/liamdawson/.config/fish/fish_history: no such file or directory

history --help notes:

By default interactive commands are logged to $XDG_DATA_HOME/fish/fish_history (typically ~/.local/share/fish/fish_history).

I'm guessing the behaviour changed in fish?

Thanks for raising this, can you please tell me what is the version of your fish installation and the OS you are running on?

OS: macOS 10.15.1
