With LilyPond 2.24 and MiKTeX (on Windows 10), there is an error message, and all scores are blank. Here is the message:

PDF inclusion: found PDF version '1.7', but at most version '1.5' allowed

I’d say it’s an upstream bug. Won’t investigate myself. If anyone feels motivated to work on it, PR welcome!
