With some extra settings the classic MVC5 WebAPI OData can be used with any IQueryable and any ApiController (not just against EF entities and ODataController).
The same approach does not work with the current solution, due to not being able to get EDM model. But if I do and create custom code (against 1.0.0-rtm-00015), it works -
