Current Status

At this time we have 3 different routing schema based on configuration and activated options.

1. Default non sef urls this is the base without any parsing (with and without language)

• https://example.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1
• https://example.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2&Itemid=101
• https://example.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3&Itemid=101
• https://example.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1&Itemid=101&lang=de

2. SEF routing without rewrite url support (.htaccess or similar)

• https://example.com/index.php/components/content/article/1
• https://example.com/index.php/
• https://example.com/index.php/?id=3
• https://example.com/index.php/de/components/content/article/1
• https://example.com/index.php/de/
• https://example.com/index.php/de/?id=3

3. SEF routing with rewrite url support (.htaccess or similar)

• https://example.com/components/content/article/1
• https://example.com/
• https://example.com/?id=3
• https://example.com/de/components/content/article/1
• https://example.com/de/
• https://example.com/de/?id=3

For Multisites we have absolute configured base_urls
Variant:

1. We need to create the base_url for each language and a generic entry as default entries:

• https://example.com/ - ALL
• https://example.com/ - de
• https://example.com/ - en

2. and for point 3 we make similar configration and include the full path till the slash:

• https://example.com/index.php/ - ALL
• https://example.com/index.php/de/ - de
• https://example.com/index.php/en/ - en
• https://example.com/ - ALL
• https://example.com/de/ - de
• https://example.com/en/ - en

in case of subdiretories we use the complete url

• https://subdomain.example.com/subfolder/
• https://subdomain.example.com/subfolder/de/
