You will have to ask Niklas (https://github.com/niklasekstrom/) about that. He tried his firmware for ReAgnus on this board but it didn't work. We are not sure why. It might be related to signal intergrity this board being only a two layer board compared to ReAgnus 4 layer, or it might have to do something with the timings Gowin FPGA vs Intel FPGA. I'm not sure if he has tinkered anything more with the MegAChip-board he got.
As I have written elsewhere, I'm not inclined to release the firmware until there is a version of ReAgnus that is fully working. The reason is that if I release it and someone gets it working, then with high likelihood they will keep the changes to themselves and try to make money off of it rather than contribute the changes back, even though the license is clear that this is not allowed. It's a shame that this is the situation we find ourselves in the Amiga/retro community.
Also, if there is anything that you can do to influence Russia to end the invasion of Ukraine and to stop murdering the Ukrainian people, then please do so!
Hi,
Many thanks for the project! Maybe it is also possible to share the WIP firmware to check and test the device?
