When casting to plex-mpv-shim the show does not play automatically.

After updating to Plex version 1.32.8.7639 I cannot regain seamless streaming as expected. Once I have selected the show to watch I select player (plex-mpv-shim) and click Play. The result is mpv fires up but presents a black screen. I then need to move my mouse to the bottom of the screen to reveal the mpv gui (transport bar, sound and subtitle control) and then click anywhere on the transport bar to cause the show to play. In other words the show does not play automatically.
