Attaching data directory to host filesystem

Hi,

first of all thanks for this amazing tool. But sadly I can't attach my Data to a filesystem.
When I run the command:

"docker run -d -v /home/user/minecraft-data:/data ..." with my filesystem

then this message pops up:

docker: invalid reference format. See 'docker run --help'.

I am a beginner with docker containers so maybe I did something wrong there?

You need to provide the exact command you tried, because you have a typo somewhere.

docker run -d -v /home/minecraft/server:/data ...
This is the command I tried.

Oh, you used the example literally as shown. You're meant to adapt the -v argument into your real command:

docker run -d -v /home/user/minecraft-data:/data ...
                 -------------------------       ---
                   |                              |
                   |                              +- replace with real arguments, like
                   |                                 -e EULA=true itzg/minecraft-server
                   |
                   +- needs to be a real path on your system

Oh ok the path is correct but I didn't specify the arguments thanks a lot :)
