A space to flesh out the Chaos + Iter8 Container Garage proposal
Talk title: Chaos testing with SLO validation for containerized K8s applications
Abstract: Chaos engineering is fundamental to increasing the resilience of cloud native applications and infrastructure. An effective way for developers and SREs to build robust and resilient K8s applications is by incorporating chaos testing and SLO validation as part of CI/CD workflows. These workflows can help validate that applications have acceptable latency and error profiles even when they are under stress (for example, due to load spikes or network/IO/infrastructure failures).
In this talk, we describe and demo multiple examples of such workflows using Litmus and Iter8. The techniques we describe can be applied across a variety of K8s tech stacks for packaging and delivering containerized applications such as K8s deployments behind an ingress / service mesh, serverless apps (Knative) or serverless ML models (KFServing).
