I frequently use the is-ipfs repo for testing things in companion. I frequently copy a CID or URL that is valid by the standards of is-ipfs but aren't published so they do not resolve. I have a feeling I'm not the only person that does this

I have a pull request in the works, just filing this issue so I don't lose track if I get pulled away
