Issue with near:me filter

Hey, I've been having this problem for a while now and I'm not sure if it's just me or what.
There's an issue where the near:me filter does not bring results of tweets near my location. It literally brings up tweets with the words "near me" in them. The same happens if I switch from "anywhere" filter to "Near you". Here's an example:

I have tried to look up if anyone is facing a similar issue, but I find very few have raised it. I want to assume that it's because very few people use that filter, but chances of that being the case should be really low considering the high volume of people using the site.
