MariaDB addon configuration when using phpmyadmin

Hello

I installed both addons and i am now wondering do i need to configure mariaDB settings or can i leave them as they are and do the configuration in phpmyadmin?

I mean this configuration:

databases:

• homeassistant
  logins:
• password: secret
  username: homeassistant
  rights:
• database: homeassistant
  username: homeassistant
