JSON editor not appearing

I'm trying to use Node RED for some iOS actionable notifications, and I had them working in the past, but now when I try to edit/look at the JSON data field in the edit call service node dialog, the JSON visual editor screen does not appear. I click on the "..." menu which used to launch the visual editor, but now, nothing appears but my screen stays greyed out and frozen. How do I get that visual editor back?
