I am opening this discussion thread so that we can have a place to discuss the CLI ergonomics of HLS without burdening the issue tracker.
I had to debug a codebase and an HLS crash, and came across the No prefix matched error that was printed as a twenty-lines long stacktrace in red on my screen. I usually associate messages of this style with “The house is on fire”, but was told that it shouldn't cause any kind of crash of the HLS binary. This is sending the wrong message.
