Sometimes when an index get corrupt, it will just end with:

Notice: Uninitialized string offset 0

In ZendSearch/library/ZendSearch/Lucene/Storage/File/AbstractFile.php#L79:

It would be great to have here a corrupt index exception for better developer experience.
