This may be nice for several reasons

  • Allows for an already known installation procedure with apt
  • Dependencies installed under this package
  • It may make the source repo cleaner when parts can be separated into folders
  • Update hooks (systemctl restart doord)
  • All configuration in /etc/doord/doord.config
  • Installation instructions will be way shorter
  • It's cool
