Disabled arrows

Hey. How are you dealing with disabled arrows in insert mode? I used to move cursor in insert mode a lot.
Is it possible with disabled arrows or you just escape to normal mode to move?

btw, when I try to set the disableArrows option to false, I get such an error when building the flake:
