Enable embedding webm videos in Wikimedia Commons (and any other dysfunctional filetypes)

Thanks for this amazing, useful, very important website! I'm kind of surprised it isn't widely known, used and edited more, and better indexed by search engines. However, there's a couple things I think should get fixed or added (along with importing page histories), before these issues are addressed (mainly because they would make the site much more useful and convenient to use and make the articles look better).

This is the first of these issues that I encountered when restoring these two articles that I wrote but got deleted (imo due to insufficient rationale and in violation of WP policy): 1 2.

If you see the second article, the webm at the bottom of the lead ("File:FLIR1 Official UAP Footage from the USG for Public Release.webm") is only linked but not embedded like it is in what seems to be the only alternative to deletionpedia here and like all the images. Please also enable embedding webm files and any other filetypes currently not supported. The file is hosted on Wikimedia Commons so playing the file here should not put load on your servers. I don't know why playing webm files (maybe some other filetypes too?) currently doesn't work.
