As you can see in the screenshot, the button to add a chromecast has disappeared. You can also see the chromecast extension is installed.

I do see the following error in the js console:

Uncaught SecurityError: Failed to read the 'contentDocument' property from 'HTMLIFrameElement': Blocked a frame with origin "http://redacteddnsname.com:4994" from accessing a frame with origin "chrome-extension://boadgeojelhgndaghljhdicfkmllpafd". The frame requesting access has a protocol of "http", the frame being accessed has a protocol of "chrome-extension". Protocols must match.

Is that normal?

We had this setup and working a few weeks ago, but reopening that project now we see this issue. We didn't change any configuration. Was there a breaking change in the October 9, 2015 extension update? Or in the SDK?

After waiting forever, I decided to search around. Found a post that suggested I press and hold the button on the chromecast for 25 secs until it rebooted. This caused the unit to factory reset. I re-set it up and now I can see the Add Chromecast button, however, I can't add it because it wants a Channel. I can't add a Channel, because I keep geting:

POST /api/channels 500 errors
