Recently there are many works on 3DGS to mesh for scene editing. I wonder if there is a way to convert mesh to 3DGS model, without the simple method: sampling from mesh and traning the 3dgs model.
As all waveforms can be made up of sine waves and cosin waves. Similarly, can all mesh be made up of SH functions with a mathmatical transformation?

Thing is, you need renders with light to 'bake' it to GS. If not - you stay with mesh and put it to 'normal' PBR pipeline.
This is length proces but doable.
