Currently the prometheus observer is using the same host:port to expose /metrics. Overall it works fine but it would be great if we can choose which port it uses to expose the metrics endpoint.

Reasons:

  • Overall good practice
  • Exposing metrics on the user level could leak information about your infrastructure usage
