Searching for this extension isn't currently possible directly on GItHub but it can be done using BigQuery and a quick search shows there are only 12 files across the whole of GitHub with this extension, eight of which are forks of the same repo you referenced.

This means it's waaaay too early for inclusion right now, but can certainly be added some time in the future once popular enough. In the mean time, you'll need to implement an override to mark the files as Rust, though the syntax highlighting may not be correct as it would require the upstream grammar to have support for the templating syntax.

waaaay too early

I think issues and PRs like this should just be closed as it would usually be years before they get enough usage and it just clutters the open issues/PR listings, or at least unlabel them.
