News Search: Paginated Pages show no results

Current Behavior

When using the search function, the result display 10 hits and the next 10 hits are on the second page. However, when I click on "next page", e.g. number 2 (or 3, 4 and so on), the display list is empty (only "Bitte wählen Sie aus Ihren Suchergebnissen:" is shown, but no results and no further pagination).

I use "numbered_pagination" 2.1.0 for the pagination. It all started when I upgraded to news version 10.0.3 and numbered_pagination: Before, results were displayed correctly (however, no pagination was available at the results list page, all results were shown on one page).

Expected behavior/output
Showing results wiith pagination even on page 2, 3 and so on.

Environment

• TYPO3 version 10.4.37
• news version 10.0.3
• Is your TYPO3 installation set up with Composer (Composer Mode): no
• OS: Testing output with Windows 11, Android 14, Firefox & Edge Browser

I found no way to configure the news search to display more than 10 results at one page - how to change the number of results?
