To install an unsigned addon, in about:config change The extension being on the Add-on marketplace would certainly be nice though. |

It is trivial to sign Firefox extensions, you don't even have to host them on AMO. |
Mostly it's an issue of @DrFlibble being inactive. |

Can't install on Firefox release build because it's unsigned. Yes, I can install it from debug menu, but it will remove extension on next start.
