Got the new secondary info in my Eddi diverter bubble to show how much it diverted today, and also got the one way info working on Grid and Battery to remove redundant info.

Nitpicker here, but shouldn't it be 10 kWh instead of kW if that shows todays 'energy'?

Ahh of course it should! What a fool. Interestingly it didn't default to the unit on the sensor and instead initially used just w. That's why I added the k but forgot the h!

I thought about using the unit_of_measurement that the entity provides, but the problem with that would be that, if you don't use this option and the entity provides a W, this unit will not be updated with the w_threshold, kw_decimals and the w_decimals

How does it work with the other readings then? As they all display ok? This sensor unit is kWh and the value was 10 but when put into the secondary info simply displayed as 10w. I wonder if the solution is either a template that converts the kwh to wh, and THAT is the secondary info, or if in the secondary info yaml you could put something like power_factor: 1000 and it does the sum itself (I literally have no idea how to do any of it, for now I'll just put my won unit of measure in at kWh!!)

here is mine, i love the secondary field, as you can see i added temperature to my HVAC (indoor temp) i would love secondary info on both solar, grid and home.. and with comma separated numbers if that could be possible :-)

How are you getting th temperatures via eddi? I assume you have the relay board and separate temperature sensor connected? Thanks!

Indeed, I have the relay board with a PT1000 sensor inserted into the bottom of my tank.

Just raised this question: #148

I currently show eddi status and current kW being diverted. Guess I'll switch the status to temp sensor as i've got the PT1000 and relay board arriving today.

Here's my card which I've just set up.
It has the standard power distributions showing but I've also shown the daily energy usage at the top of each bubble.
Is there any way to set the number of decimal places to show on the extra entities ie. show kWh to one or two decimal places. At the moment it seems to be limited to rounding the figures to whole numbers.
Also the card is adding my ev charging powers to my household usage power, is there any way to stop it doing this? I've tried adding subtract_individual: true to the code but it doesn't work on this figure.

@DBT85 the next version will have a template function for secondary_info fields, so probably all issues with rounding will be fixed, but how do you think the card should handle the decimal points? Should there be a decimals option for secondary_info fields?

That's great to hear flixlix and the ability to also remove individual devices from the house totals will be very nice.

I'm not sure how it should be handled, it always just seemed odd that the secondary info just ignored the units it was already gathered in. I kind of half understood your answer about why it needed to be there, but not fully.

Perhaps the secondary info should just use whatever unit it already has, and if you want to change the decimals have a decimal for it as you suggest. It just seems to me as the end user a bit strange to have to re specify a unit when the sensor already had it. Does that make sense?

The template function sounds great flixlix .

Another option would be to just display the users house sensor power value 'as is' so the user could subtract the other values beforehand in the ha sensor configuration.yaml as I have done. The user would then then have the choice whether to include things like inverter losses or not in the house value.

I had also already implemented this feature! It will also be available in the next version.

Hi there, is there a chance to visualize the % of charge via the cycle around (bold vs thin...)?

In my representation:
Solar:
above the icon PV generation and below AC output

Battery:
SOC and charging and discharging power

Home:
Daily and current consumption

Grid:
Daily import power on top and below the icon current import/export power

So for me the Solar circuit represents more or less the inverter.
This brings me to my question:
Is there a way to model the cart to this:

Battery and inverter are connected with DC and from Home perspective it is irrelevant if the power came from PV or battery, the AC output of the inverter counts.
