Cannot produce vector slice in fluid created by controlled HOLE

Consider a case (for example, as attached) where an &OBST initially exists, but a &HOLE controlled by &CTRL changes that region to fluid. The fluid results (such as VELOCITY) can be viewed on a slice through that region by changing a setting: right-click on smokeview window, Show/Hide... Slice... show in gas and solid. This also seems to change the corresponding setting for Vector Slice. However, I cannot make smokeview display vectors in the new fluid region. (This bug was present in earlier versions as well.)

[By the way, if you want to edit the .ini file to change that setting (that is, to get scalar results to display slices in formerly-solid regions), it is not enough to change SHOWSLICEINOBST from the default 0 to 1. You also need to change the line three lines after GEOMCELLPROPS from the default " 1 0 1 5.000000 1 0 1" to " 1 1 1 5.000000 1 0 1". I do not know what the changed value affects. I am not sure, but I think it used to be sufficient to edit only SHOWSLICEINOBST, maybe in smokeview corresponding to FDS6.5.x.]
