Would it be possible to change virtual-background setup on the fly? For example by exposing a very very simple web-ui being able to select from drop-down? This could f.e. be done by using static names for foreground, mask, background and naming the folder as selectable name in dropdown.

From the manual:

You can manually toggle between the paused/unpaused state by pressing CTRL-C. Unpausing the program also reload the files listed above. This allows you to replace them without restarting the program.

I haven't implemented a proper UI yet.
