Instead of the straight lines marking the border of the login window, I'm getting other characters instead.

However, the odd thing is this only happens on first boot. If I log in and back out, the characters will render correctly. I haven't been able to track down why this odd behavior is occurring.

I have scoured the closed issues looking for solutions and nothing has helped so far. I've tried setting the locale in /etc/environment, I've tried changing the language in /etc/ly/config.ini.

System: Fedora 36

Started to have the same issue after I configured Silent Boot. After messing around I found out that if remove FONT from /etc/vconsole.conf it is working correctly, but then you are missing your desired font.
