Installation process on FreeBSD: prefixes other than /usr/bin #141

How did you manage to get this to work on FreeBSD? For whatever reason it refuses to launch OpenBox. I normally use SLiM & decided to give Ly a try. When correctly set, as per pkg message, I can get Ly to launch "Shell", but when attempting to launch OpenBox, I end up with a blank screen. With login manager(s) disabled, I can startx just fine with .xinitrc set to launch openbox-session. |
I don't remember exactly. I've not used ly recently. Maybe you could find out what's happening on your system by examining xsetup.sh? |

I'm currently porting Ly to FreeBSD and I was wondering if it would be possible to let the user specify a different prefix for the final binary than /usr/bin. The reason for this is that on FreeBSD all the 3rd party software goes under /usr/local by default.
